At Stower Grange we pride ourselves on using the best, fresh ingredients and buying local produce wherever possible. In keeping with the style of the hotel the restaurant is traditional in its approach to Sunday lunch. Our butcher, located within a mile, provides us with excellent meat sourced locally from Norfolk farms. Breakfasts are a delight with local free range eggs, very tasty bacon and sausages second to none!

The AA Rosette restaurant at Stower Grange overlooks the gardens and is locally renowned as a ‘special place’ to dine.

James Cox, our Chef, changes the menu monthly and offers a tempting selection of dishes, including vegetarian options.

If you wish to host a private lunch or dinner, we can accommodate you in our private dining room and Lee will work with you to create a menu tailored to your own specific requirements.

The restaurant has easy wheelchair access and cloakroom facilities for disabled guests on the ground floor.

Our Suppliers

Howard & Son – 4.8 miles Howard and Son has been a family run fishmonger in Norwich since 1889. The 4th generation, Gary & Maxine now run the business supplying us with the freshest produce sourced from local docks.

Toombs – 1.9 miles Peter supplies us with the finest of meats, all from local farms including the following:
Norfolk Beef – Reared at Bull Farm just off the Reepham Road near Felthorpe. It is aged on the bone for 28 days making it extremely tender and giving it a much richer flavour.
Poultry – Chickens are raised at R T Pointers, a small farm on the outskirts of Hevingham
Pork – Blythburgh Free Range pigs are born on the sandy soils of the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Large paddocks give them freedom to roam and as a result of their enhanced standard of living and welfare they grow slowly. This allows Blythburgh pork to acquire the rich flavour and succulence that pork used to have.

Anglian Culinary Supplies – 3.9 miles ACS is an independent family owned company supplying our dry goods, now run by Nick Wells who has trained and worked in restaurants both locally and abroad, including Stower Grange!

The Cheese Wheel – 5.7 miles Martin Mather supplies us with the majority of our dairy produce, including the cheese for our cheese board.
Suffolk Gold – Produced by Suffolk Farmhouse Cheese from the milk of their won herd of pedigree Guernsey’s the make this fine handmade cheese using traditional methods.
Binham Blue – Pasteurised cows milk blue cheese made by Mrs Temple near Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk.
Norfolk Smoked Dapple – from un-pasteurised cows’ milk at Little Barningham, a medal winner!

Easters – 4.3 miles Easters is another family run business supplying us with our fruits, salads and vegetables, using local growers whenever possible.

Nature Farm Eggs – 0.5 miles Free range eggs cooked within hours of being laid make an essential part of our Full English Breakfast…just how you like them – scrambled, poached or fried

Woodforde’s Norfolk Ales – 12 miles Woodforde’s has now been brewing beer for over 30 years. They are passionate about using only the very best ingredients in their beers: ancient water from beneath the brewery; Norfolk Barley; and a diverse array of whole hops that give our beers both flavour and aroma. You will find Woodforde’s Wherry on tap in the bar.
